In this latest adventure, Gertie the Littlest Yak and her family are moving from the mountains to pastures new. And for Gertie, that means SQUEEZING all her belongings onto her sledge. What could possibly go wrong?
Gertie is determined to take every single possession to her new home. But when someone special gets left behind, will Gertie come to see that home is about so much more than the things that you pack? This book is such a beautiful book for all children, but would also be an extra special gift for children who are going through, or have recently experienced a relocation.
My whole family loves this series. This story in particular touched my heart and was very poignant for my family. Lu and Kate are a picture book-match made in heaven and Home is Where the Herd Is is yet another masterful picture book to be enjoyed all year round, but especially at Christmas!
