Title: Little Bear Wants to Grow
Author:

Illustrator:

The Story:
Little Bear is impatient to grow up and rather than wait like his parents suggest, he decides to go out and ask people for help. Little Bear is given some peculiar advice along the way, from eating ice cream to painting. But nothing works and he returns to his parents feeling sad. Will they finally be able to explain to him how we grow?

Favourite Spread:
There were many lovely spreads in which Little Bear tries many things to grow, such as eating ice-cream and he ends up covered in it! But my favourite spread was the one which glued the story together. Little Bear is back with his parents and they explain how we all grow.

The Verdict:
This gently told story will put a smile on your face. The illustrations create lovely moments of humour, combined with a beautiful message that we don’t need to rush to grow up, we all grow a little every day.
