The Story:
This original folk tale tells the story of an enchanted Starbird who is captured by the Moon King as a gift for his daughter. The Starbird’s song weaves wonderful dreams but the Princess notices that now Starbird is trapped its voice is fading. The Princess frees Starbird and the King is furious, stopping at nothing to recapture the Starbird. In this powerful story of freedom and love, can the Princess show her father that captivity is never the answer?

Favourite Spread:
There is no way I could choose just one favourite spread for this unique and original picture book. From the cover to the end pages and everything in between, the detail and artistry Sharon has incorporated into this book is astounding and truly magical.
