The Story:
Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol is the latest addition to Campbell’s First Stories board book series, written in rhyme. The wonderful push, pull and turn mechanisms really bring the story of Scrooge to life.

Favourite Spread:
Jean’s illustrations are bright and joyful and work in perfect harmony with the fun push, pull and turn mechanisms to fit Charles Dicken’s entire A Christmas Carol into just five spreads. I thought the ghosts of Christmas with the turn mechanism was done brilliantly.

But my favourite spread had to be Scrooge coming out of his house and the Christmas tree emerging at the window. See for yourself!

The Verdict:
This is a great Christmas addition to the First Stories series that will fill you with Christmas cheer. The push, pull and turn mechanisms really add to the story telling and will have little ones entertained for (maybe not hours but…) a long time!
