It’s time to get your party wriggle on with The Veg Patch Party by Clare Foges and Al Murphy. This is the vegetables’ picture book version of Glastonbury!

When everyone is fast asleep on the farm, the vegetables come out to party. Featuring headliners the Spuds with backing band the Chips and DJ Brussel Sprout. My little girl adores this book. She loves vegetables, particularly carrots and the carrot-conga is brilliantly bonkers!

The book reads like a veggie groovy song with a catchy chorus that will get stuck in your head: So conga like a carrot, party like a pea. Rock out like a raddish, yeah! And boogie like a bean! There is heaps of veggie humour for adults too – say hello to the Red Hot Peppers!

There is also some lovely shiny stormy pages that my daughter loved.

This delicious book is hilarious and so much fun. Al’s illustrations are inspired. We loved it! Soo… Rock out like a raddish, yeah! And boogie like a bean!
