The Story:
Panda is on the hunt for the perfect hug. Panda comes across hugs in all shapes and sizes, some tall some small, some for wrigglers and some for gigglers. Panda searches the seas to the milky way and discovers there is a hug out there for everyone.

Favourite Spread:
There are a few half rhymes to be found in this story but one spread where I thought the rhyme, rhythm and illustrations worked in perfect hug-harmony was this one. Judi’s illustrations bring each type of hug to life. I can just imagine an enthusiastic, gymnastic hug from a monkey!

The Verdict:
This is a lovely gentle story with equally lovely illustrations. One thing I really enjoyed was how the text was brought into the illustrations (the word small was small and big was BIG). It’s a nice book to read in a quiet moment and have a cuddle!
