The Story:
Maisy is on a mission. She had a cough but it escaped when she forgot to put her hand over her mouth! Now everyone has caught her cough and is feeling poorly. She tries to catch her cough as it causes havoc in the garden but she just can’t catch it. Then Maisy creates a master plan. Will she finally catch that cough?

Favourite Spread:
This book was a hit with me and my family from the first spread. Louise has created a great Cough and I love how the speech is part of the fun packed illustration.

In fact, all the way through this book the words and pictures work together to bring the adventure to life. My favourite part was definitely Maisy’s master plan, genius!

The Verdict:
This is a fun, laugh-out-loud picture book with fabulous illustrations that work seamlessly with the witty text. What I love about this book is that it works on many levels. It’s a great fun story but also reminds children of a very important thing: don’t forget to put your hand over your mouth when you cough! It will have to joining in and willing Maisy on during her great master plan.
