The Story:
Mr Bear is very kind. He helps all the animals in the forest and never complains or asks for anything in return. But then Mr Bear gets ill and no one even notices. The animals of the forest have taken Mr Bear for granted, can they change their ways and show him how much he means to them?
Favourite Spread:
Steve has created sweet illustrations and you find yourself wanting to give Mr Bear a great big hug.
I really liked this page where we see Mr Bear helping all the animals – full of truly selfless, kind acts.
The Verdict:
This is a sweet picture book that makes children think about how we should treat one another and the importance of not taking others for granted.
