Christopher Pumpkin by Sue Hendra, Paul Linnet & Nick East ~ #PictureBook #Review ~ @suehendra @PaulLinnet @EastyNick @HachetteKids

Today, I am showcasing a spooktacular picture book written by the fangtastic picture book duo, Sue Hendra & Paul Linnet, and illustrated by the terror-ific, Nick East. Christopher Pumpkin is the perfect Halloween read!

A scary witch is getting her creepy castle ready for the spookiest party ever. She brings some pumpkins to life to help and is dismayed to discover one of them isn’t scary at all!

Christopher Pumpkin loves bunting and fairy cakes, not cobwebs and slugs. But when the witch threatens to turn Christopher into pumpkin soup if he doesn’t get his scary-act together, what will Christopher do?

We are huge fans, of Sue and Paul’s books (we read Oh, Christmas Tree all year round, and I have a suspicions we’ll be reading Christopher Pumpkin all year round too!). The bouncy rhyme is a delight to read and Nick’s illustrations are packed with humour and personality. This hilarious picture book has a lovely message about staying true to who you are. My little girl adores Halloween and particularly pumpkins, and this is definitely our number one Halloween recommendation!
