Super duper picture book duo, Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet, have just released a new SUPER board book, Super Squad, to accompany the Supertato series.

My three-year-old loves vegetables and playing pretend “kitchen”, so it’s no surprise the Supertato series is a big hit in our house. There are six picture books in the series so far: Supertato; Veggies Assemble; Run, Veggies, Run; Evil Pea Rules; Veggies in the Valley of Doom; and Carnival Catastro-Pea. Each story contains a veg-packed adventure where Supertato battles Evil Pea.

This new board book is a brand new mini adventure. Supertato and his veggie squad are going to teach Evil Pea a very important lesson. It involves a box, string and… cupcakes!

This little adventure is perfect for babies and toddlers. It is so lovely to now be able to share the Supertato fun with the whole family. My one-year old really liked the curvy edges of each page.

Sue and Paul’s illustrations are as bright and bold as ever. And while this story is obviously much shorter than the picture books in the series, the duo’s iconic humour is ever-present. There is also a lovely message about the power of kindness. Super Squad is an all-round super duper board book!
